How to Choose the Right Waist Trainer's Size

You already know that waist-trainers are the fastest way to lose some weight and get that much loved hour-glass figure. You have probably seen this slim-down tool all over social media and heard of all the success stories, and now you are thinking of getting one for yourself.

Waist-trainers come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and styles.

But, before you choose the right one for your body, you need to ask yourself why you need one. Is it to get an hour-glass figure? Do you want to flatten your stomach? Or is it so you can eat less and lose weight?

When you have decided on what you want, the next step is to find the right size that fits your body best. You do not want to make the mistake of getting a trainer that is too small or too loose that does not get the results you want.

Here’s a guide to help you choose the right size of your waist trainer.

Take Accurate Measurement

When choosing the right size for your waist trainer, it is important to have the correct measurements for your bust, waist, hips, and torso. While the waist measurement is the most important, you need the others to guide you with choosing the right shape and style.

For all the measurements, it is best to use a fabric or vinyl measuring tape and keep it level with the ground. Make sure the tape fits well but it's not too tight.

Measure your waist

This is the most important measurement in choosing the right size for your waist trainer. To get the most accurate measurements, you’ll need to find your natural waist.

  1. Bend your torso on one side and find the deepest fold on your waist. That’s your natural waist.
  2. Wrap a measuring tape around the waist until the ends meet at the front.
  3. Make sure the tape fits tightly against your body but doesn’t squeeze or fold the skin. Write down these measurements.
  4. Experts advise measuring your waist several times and using the average number as your final measurement.

Measure your torso

Waist trainers usually have different heights to fit different torso lengths. To measure your torso:

  1. Sit down straight and make sure your back is perpendicular
  2. Place one end of the tape under your breast and let it run down to your thighs.
  3. Take the measurement.

Use these measurements to choose the right size of your waist trainers. There are many brands in the market. Femme Shapewear provides the highest quality waist trainers that you can wear for months.

Whichever waist trainer you choose, make sure that it is comfortable and you can breathe properly. Also, keep in mind that your waist will be shrinking with time, and you will, therefore, need a trainer that will be able to stretch and adjust to your new size.

When choosing the size, it's recommended to start with the last hook and move inwards as your waist starts shrinking:
